An underwater flight series of butterfly and moth specimens, shot deep etched in black dark water. These images are presented as shot with no cropping or post. Shot on Hasselblad 6x6 and 6x4.5 transparency film. Part of an extensive series titled 'Swarm' The butterfly has wide significance through different cultures; as a symbol of love, regeneration, fortune, freedom, spirituality and death. Of particular interest to me is that Greek mythology links the butterfly to the souls of those who have passed away.
